GE Sensing and Inspection Technologies
Stand 50

GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies, which was established in 2003 by bringing together heritage companies from the major modalities of NDT, will be using Materials Testing 2009 to market its range of ultrasonic, eddy current, remote visual inspection and radiography instruments and systems and its NDT image processing and archiving software.

Two particular highlights of the display will be the launch of the USM Go and the Phasor DM. Weighing only 1 kg, the USM Go is the lightest and most portable ultrasonic flaw detector available from GE. It is the first instrument of its kind with pressure-responsive joystick control and offers data display resolution on a screen with the largest pixel count of any instrument in its category. The Phasor DM is the first phased array inspection device for corrosion spot identification in the marketplace and is designed to locate, identify and evaluate corrosion pitting, especially in the oil and gas and process sectors.

GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies is a global organisation, with its UK offices in Coventry. It provides inspection technologies, equipment and systems and also on its stand at MT 2009 will be the new Rightrax HT for remote, high temperature corrosion monitoring, its latest innovation in RVI, the XL Vu, its Pulsec 3 eddy current family, and its Rhythm software platform, which will be demonstrated operating with Computed Radiography.
