Good news for the East Midlands – the local BINDT Branch has been injected with some enthusiastic new members who have come together to help organise some events. We plan to hold regular monthly meetings, the third Wednesday of every month, which we hope will be interesting and lively. Future Branch meetings will be highlighted in NDT News and on the website, where we plan to keep you updated on how we're progressing.

'BINDT – what's in it for me?'
A special address by Steve Lavender, BINDT President.
This will be followed by a somewhat untraditional format of event where people will be given the opportunity to meet one another.
Start time is 17:00 for 17:30.
Venue: NDT Services, Victory Park Industrial Estate, Victory Road, Derby DE24 8EL.
Note: Entry into the estate is opposite the red Total Hire & Sales building on Victory Road. Once in the estate, turn right at the end of the road. Plenty of parking!
Our current prospective attendees list is a bit out-of-date. If you want to be added to our mailing list (where you will only ever be 'bcc' copied), then please email our membership co-ordinator, Leon Bullock, on leon.bullock@rolls-royce.com. We'd like to hear your thoughts on suggested start times, venues and the sort of activities you'd like to participate in. What would you like to see and do? Can you suggest a suitable topic for an event, or host us at your facility? We really want to encourage participation from across different industries and institutions. After all, who knows when the next problem your company encounters could be solved by someone you've met at the branch meeting lending you some kit or offering you some advice on how to solve an emerging issue? Within NDT, knowledge and contacts are essential to tackling emerging issues, implementing cost reductions and improving quality. We want this to be the cornerstone of our Branch.
